Every year in December we look back at the year past and say "this was Indimax Productions biggest and bravest year".

2019 was no exception for this PORT MELBOURNE based production company. To celebrate this year below is a month by month highlight/update from a huge year passed.

January - A changing of the guard.

Indimax welcomed it's newest team member Tim Bydder.
Tim came from a freelance producing and directing background. January Tim hit the ground running handling new and past clients proving to be a perfect fit for the Indimax model of crafting engaging and passionate story telling.

February - A New home

Just like all great video production companies we found ourselves regularly travelling into Port Melbourne, South Melbourne and the CBD to meet with clients, rent camera gear or partner with other facilities to put finishing touches on our videos. So when the opportunity came to get out of Bays water and Move into a new and impressive facility in Port Melbourne. We jumped at the opportunity.

March - Wonder of Living shoot began

The wonder of Living was a 3 part educational DVD project who's concept began in early 2018 by our past Producer Jono Weir. Picking up where Jono left off Tim produced this project with Directors Angeline Armstrong and Jono Weir, Beautiful Photography thanks to Sam Baulch (DOP) and Antonio Railoa (Gaffer), meticulous set Design by Juliet Bennie, crisp sound by Dave Williams and the rest of the hard working cast and crew we produced a truly excellent DVD series which tackles some very delicate and sensitive subject matter with an approprate touch.

April - Deakin shoot

For Deakin University's business and Law department we created this funky interesting corporate video. No one ever said corporate videos should be morning especially not Amy Dwight who directed this very engaging project.

May - Alba Cheese' Story

We love telling engaging stories and a 60 year old family tradition of making exceptional Italian cuisine is definitely a favourite of ours. Tim, Antonio and the Harpy boys worked some very long hours for this video required epic Drone shots, cinematic gimbal shots and beautiful lighting shot over 3 full days to do it's story justice. This beautiful video is the result.

June - Monash Children's Hospital and Dandelion Wishes Gala

For the 3rd straight year now Indimax Production has Partnered with the Monash Children's Hospital in support of the Dandelion Wishes Gala which raises millions of dollars in support of the Monash children's Hospital. This year we stepped up the anti again shooting Bridget's story on our new RED Epic 8K camera, Ronin 2 Gimbal and Mavic Pro 2 drone.

July - Motion Graphic Investment

To keep up with the fast paced industry of ours Indimax Productions invested in a motion graphics artist Chris who contributed to a heap of fun projects and created us this short sizzle reel to show just what he can do.

August - A Quiet Hospital

It was great to see this project get off the ground after spending almost a year in development. This eye opening video explains the impact of noise on a patients recovery and helps provoke thought about ways staff, volunteers, guests and patients can reduce their noise in this place of rest and recovery.

September - A fit out taking shape.

To fit out the space in our new offices we didn't just want facilities like the rest. We wanted everything precise and to spec. This meant we had to handle a-lot of the project ourselves. Producing by day and building by night the process has not been fast scheduled well into 2020 but this September was first time that the build really started to take shape with a temporary studio space now available for short films and alike.

December - Ending the year on a sad but hopeful note

Elizna our in house editor for the past 3 years moved to work with Black Magic taking a hands on approach working with Resolve Platform she loves. We will miss Elizna's personality and friendship around the office and we are sure she will go on to do great things with black magic and the software that makes our lives easier will only get better as a result.

Moving forward Indimax Production will be using a contractor format for editing. This will enable us to use editors with individually appropriate skills for each project being more Taylor made in our post production crew than previously for each job.
