Success of the Occupational Violence & Aggression Video Live Stream

The health industry around the world can be a dangerous place to work. The risk of confrontation with the public is higher than most other professions. From ambulance paramedics to hospital security staff and everyone in between, the likelihood you’ll be on the receiving end of aggression and violence is a risk worthy of discussion and solution. On July 11th this year Western Health held their Occupational Violence & Aggression (OVA) Conference in Melbourne CBD. Speakers included professionals from across the country coming to talk about incident prevention, protections, and training programs that assist in creating a safer workplace for the medical industry. 

The task handed to Indimax Productions was to broadcast the full day event as a live stream online. Our brief was to ‘make it seamless and slick’. So we got to work. The day would consist of a large ballroom venue at the Sofitel Hotel on Collins Street, filled with medical and security professionals. Two large screens would flank a stage and podium at the front of the room. And we at Indimax were spoiled with a control room that had a view over the entirety of the space below. We were to work closely with the in-house Audio-Visual team and equipment to not only stream the event online but also control the ballrooms screens, ensuring that pre-prepared video packages and graphics were displayed for the audience below.

One of our pre-made video packages featured Adjunct Professor Russell Harrison, Chief Executive of Western Health. The video was produced by Indimax weeks prior to the OVA event. Feature unique motion graphics that aligned with Western Health’s anti-aggression campaign branding. Shot and edited to the highest quality, not just for use during the OVA Conference but also for future use, as a message to new and existing staff with the Western Health Family.

The OVA Conference was one of the largest and more complex projects Indimax Productions has taken on this year. And we are happy to report that the whole thing went off without a hitch. Just another project delivered to the highest standard for another happy customer!
